Adidas shop in Carnaby Street

An artist who is painting another elephant invited me to a project to paint on the wall of Adidas shop in Carnaby Street. I did work on paper and it will be glued on the wall.

This is the piece. 75cm×75cm。

Seems I like this character very much. Now I'm gonna use this for a college project 'Different Formats'.
The project was very open and I could do draw anything but I put Adidas trainers on him anyway.

This is the first one before Candy Floss Boy.

I spent whole day to get paper outside and draw until midnight but I stopped drawing in the middle of process because the composition, the line, and the colours are all bad. Finally I drew simply with black and white on brown paper which has been in my room and the result was nice.
Design (Selection) is difficult to find and reach the achievement even if it is just a simple thing. I think a person who does it naturally and just with sense is a genius.

Paul showed me an image of the brochure of the Adidas event and the biography of me was 'I like to draw and sleep.', one in 'About' section on my website. The organiser of Brighton exhibition used that as well. It's funny people take the very short non-energy bio.

This is the very small version of the picture. I can do better on small scale

Mr Paul Gravett and CANDY FLOSS

I posted some zines and comics to Paul Gravett last week. Then got a great email back!

Hi Soju

Your package brightened my rainy, thundery Sunday morning perfectly ;)
Thanks so much, love what you're doing.
Hope we can meet again and let's keep in touch

Best to you
Paul

I'm so glad!

I got a induction of lithography finally. I'm gonna print a lot!

This is a zine for fundraising of our external degree show. It's just 2-minute-drawings.

drawing was quick but printing and binding took so long.

Elephant Parade

I'm painting an elephant sculpture for Elephant Parade.

250 elephants of different design will be installed around London from May to July 2010.

The elephants will be auctioned after the installation and the money goes to Asian elephant conservation. This is really great both as an art project and a charity. During the auction, all elephants will stand in Hyde Park.

The miniature replica of the elephant will be sold as well.

I'm now painting him.

HAPPY TRAVELLERS

New zine done by Chie and me. We had a sale an exhibition of the picture from the book at a DJ event. Because it's not an art event, people didn't look at our works.

This is the cover.

I like the tortoise one the best.

The English spelling is 'TRAVELLERS' but I wrote 'TRAVELERS' on the original one. So I just coied and pated 'L' on the cover and this page.

Research of Blood Circulation

-In blood there are Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells and Platelets. 5 million of Red Blood Cells, 5,000 - 10,000 of White Blood Cells and 200,000 - 400,000 of Platelets.

-Red Blood Cells bring Oxygen which Lungs produce from Lungs to organs and cells such as Brain, Muscle, Eyes, Stomach, Large Bowel, Small Bowel, Liver, Kidney, etc.

-Each cells produce Carbon Dioxide. Then Red Blood Cells bring them back to Lungs and Lungs change CO2 to O2 and repeat.

-White Blood Cells kill germs in blood.

-When skin is injured, Platelets make a scab on the skin and it protects skin from germs.

-Red Blood Cell can changes its shape.

-Haemoglobin in Red Blood Cell makes the colour of the cell Red.

-Anemic person's skin looks bluish white because the number of Haemoglobin, which is Red, is less.
